Hand made wall sculptures, Pfish 4 plus 1 Fish, by Tammy Vitale of Tam’s Originals
Here are 4 Pfish (which are the stained sculptured fish) and 1 Fish (which are the glazed sculptured fish). I have decided to thusly name them because then I can tell what’s selling: stain or glaze. For size reference, the upper right Pfish fits on an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper with some margin left. The range of these sculptures, retail, is $22 (Fish in the middle) to $48, Pfish on the upper left. Lower left: $27; upper right $32; lower left $37. How do I know? well, Fish has no fin on her body….that’s how I know. The rest, well, it’s a size thing which includes measure and clay used. These are some of the multitudes of P/Fish I have lately made and I need to make more. I like them. They really tend to take on their own personality.
I have shown some of my Zodiac 3’x5" before, as well as the Pfish, as well as how they are made, but I’ve never put up all the zodiacs before so am putting them up here (below). And the rest of the afternoon I am going to listen to Tropical Storm Ernesto drop rain on my roof (much to the relief of every parched plant in my yard), and read Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth, and maybe jump the gun and watch Brick by myself and generally remember why I took my vacation and how I want to carry it with me forever.
Thought for the day: "Just three weeks after Katrina, another hurricane that reached category 5 strength – Rita – hit the U. S. Coast not too far west of Katrin’a s landfall…Then, just a few weeks after Rita, Hurricane Wilma became – while still out at sea, – the strongest hurricane ever measured."
"The science textboks had to be rewritten in 2004. They used to say, ‘It’s impossible to have hurricanes in the South Atlantic. But that year, for the first time ever, a hurricane hit Brazil."
