Wylde Women Series: outdoor base with Elementals, by Tammy Vitale
Woke up this morning with a whole line of Wylde Women: Herstory clamoring to get out: 12 x 36 paintings with beads and wire; larger wall hangings seomthing like Women in size but very different in shape and multi media; even larger outdoor pieces…I have the base. I was building something else for the "tall thing" but I think now, maybe not. Thanks to all of you who helped me birth: you are my midwives.
Please don’t foget the stories. I now need stories. Not ideas for stories, but stories: succint but strong.
How’s this: "Wylde Women: Individually we are amazing; together we are powerful beyond belief." Should I use first person or 2nd person or 3rd person?
Individually you are amazing; together you are powerful beyond belief.
Individually she is amazing; together they are pwoerful beyond belief.
I’m off – I have to immediately go paint, while I still have stardust in my head.

good questions here re story. This is what I think (and I really don't know – we're all brainstorming): an overall story, with either a smaller group story or individual stories. I can see the individual stories getting a little hard to do, so maybe a subgroup story, and then each individual would get their own name. (This sounds more complicated than it is will be…I hope!)
Oops – sorry! You already did toss your name in the hat! I can't see on this little screen today. Ignore that previous comment, your names definitely in the hat… 🙂
WyldeWomen – I like it! The Herstory part obviously I liked, too 🙂
So many ways to approach a project like this; I'm a little confused myself, whether the Wylde Women stories are to be individual or collective – and (if individual) will the plant used in the making of each piece be a part of the spell cast in their story? (love that idea of Leah's). Such as "I am Rue, I both repent and forgive" kind of thing…
Really like Karen's idea of writing about a piece and choosing the key words from it. Can't wait to see how your project evolves. BTW, there are a few more hours left, if you'd like to throw your name in the hat for my contest.
Soooo…do you need help with one big story/haiku for the whole group, or one story/haiku for each doll? I personally like the haiku–or even just poetry that doesn't necessarily fit the haiku 5-7-5 pattern but is short–
Katie Kendricks mentioned something she's going to do from now on: sitting down after she finishes a piece and writes stream of consciousness for 2 pages–then (this may be my interpretation) picks out the phrases she likes from her writing.
This is really the kind of thing I love–with words…-
Yes, go paint while the inspirational fires burn.
I say use the "we" voice — inclusive and personal.
This is some of the most motivated art I have seen you do. You are REALLY feeling this. Go girl.
