When was the last time you gave yourself the gift of time to breathe?
A space to hear the answers, discover the magic and expore the possibilities
in all facets of your life.
Here’s a great chat on blogtalk radio where Kathryn Yarborough of Flowing with Change interviews me about the whys and whats of retreats and taking time to take time!
Why Go On Retreat:
- Life happens. Sometimes you need a break to see what is happening
- In circle with like-minded women, energy and magic happens -so does clarity
- You are perfect as you are and interested in thinking about what’s next, because it’s time
- You want a safe space to try on some new ideas
- Turning inward is easier if outward is not day-to-day usual
- Reconnect with your own inner wisdom
- Finding community and making friends whose connection helps you remember and continue with whatever you learn
- Learning creative tools for your journey does hurt either!
Activities are scheduled to enhance your retreat, and to give you tools and memories to take home with you.. Your participation is up to you. This is your retreat and you should plan to do what feels best for you!
The following activities are examples only. Actual retreat activities may vary based on new energy and ideas that I receive when I am preparing for the actual retreat. I rely heavily on intuition when planning for any particular retreat.
Friday 7pm, Circle of Release: A gathering using the power of safe community to write a note to or about those things/events/challenges/outlived ways of being we wish to let go, speak it (or think it) into the circle, and then release the note into our campfire. Everyone is asked to bring food to share for a late evening potluck around 8pm.
Saturday
Breakfast: continental (pastries, fresh fruit, cereal)
10 am, Mandala as Muse: We will make a collaged Mandala from magazines, tissue paper, and bits and scraps of ephemera. Materials are provided and you may also bring along anything that you’d like to add to your own Mandala and/or share with others. Please bring a photo or photos of yourself for the center of your Mandala.
12:30 pm Lunch: Cold cuts and tuna salad for sandwichs, and a side of potato salad.
1:30 – 5pm: Gather found materials along the beach and in the forest, and return to used supplied mixed media to make a 12 x 12 mixed media Muse mosaic tile.
5 – 6pm: Those who would like to underline their intentions and speak them out loud to bring them into the world can share more about their Mandala and about the Muse they made to support it.
7pm: Dinner in Montross (Dinner and non-alcoholic drinks included in Retreat price)
Sunday

At the end of the circle, a space and materials will be provided to decorate your note as a Vision Board to go along side your Mandala.

Retreats are scheduled twice a year: once in the Fall to look back over the year in preparation for the coming year and before the holiday crazies take place; and, once in the Spring, to take a breather and see how intentions are progressing, make necessary adjustments and continue onward.
Retreats are kept small, topping out around 9 or 10 people, to allow for relationship and community building. Coming: a Facebook private page for Retreat community to keep in touch.
