See what a nice display can do for your work?  This is the first time I commandeered a good spot as opposed to hanging on wire screens which just don’t show small or large sculpture well.  The display looked great and it also helped other 3D artists who got there later to show their work to its best advantage.  Sometimes you just have to take a stand.  Once mask maker mounted his masks on a large board that could hang on screens if necessary and still look good.  Great idea!

Tam_at_herons Herons_with_sign Here are two pictures from Heron’s Way Gallery yesterday.  That’s me by my screen (this is not a wire screen.  It is a cloth screen.  All work looks better on a cloth screen than on a wire screen.  It’s just that wire screens are great for outdoor shows because the wind can go through them instead of their acting like a kite and taking off across the parking lot with all of your (now broken) work.

The Herons and I talked about my being their "featured artist" for June.  But I woke up this morning aware that I am simply not able to do that with everything else I’m committed to, so I emailed and requested either October or December.  I’m trying too hard.  Since this is what I’m meant to do, trying too hard will get me no further than moving at my own pace.  Trying isn’t good.  Doing is good.  Doing at a reasonable, realistic, natural paste is the best.  Balance.

And here, just because she’s so cute and deserves to be spotlighted, is my (rescue) Pug, Sueno (who came with that name).  I call her Swaney – long "a" – more than anything.  Or Dog.  She knows Dog.  It makes her wag her tail.  Grandson – also here because….well, you can see why…calls her Sueno Doggie.

Thought for the day:  where would we be without those whom we love in our lives, our photo albums and out memories?
