How did you get where you are?
Weak question.
Better question:
What are you going to do
from here on out?
Often the question already holds the answer. Which is why it’s good to be in community where you are safe, and your friends can mirror your questions back to you. Taken from a different angle, it’s easier to see new things rather than to fall back into tired old ruts. And a good way to end all musing is, “Why?” And no matter “what” or “why” do it with passion!
Maryanne Willaimson says, ” I can’t imagine a kind-of, sort-of, when-it’s convenient, casually committed terrorist…our biggest problem isn’t just that a relatively few people hate with conviction; it’s that not enough of us love with conviction.” And I would add: or do anything with so much conviction that there is never again a need for Plan B.

Wise words, thank you for the reminder.

Hey Patrice – thanks for stopping by and for that excellent cranberry bar recipe on your blog!
Thanks for the great reminder Tammy! Asking the “right” question is the first step. Taking a breath and listening for the answer is the second.
Booya! I have a quote from Will Smith on my desktop that says:
“The first step before anyone believes it, is you have to believe it. There’s no reason to have a plan B because it distracts from plan A.”
Community is so important. 🙂
