Jewlery_clay_round_pendant_with_3_tiger_ Jewelry_clay_pendant_with_tiger_coral Hand made clay pendant necklaces with coral and semi-precious stones by Tammy Vitale

If you have to gallery sit all day, I have now learned that you can use the time, in addition to switching in and out new/old work, to make necklaces.

I gallery sat at the Gallery at Friday’s Creek yesterday and these are the result.  I will wear the one on the left as I do show openings today.

I have been blogtipped by Ascender Rises Above.  I had never heard of that before.  It’s fun and she’s done a great job and I’m going to return the favor just as soon as I have 5 minutes to do the linkages required to approach the great job she did.  I hope everyone visits her site – she does an amazing array of art and posts regularly – a small daily treat for the sense.

So here are some pictures of the shows I’ve been loading in.  The pictures from Friday’s Creek are blurry – sorry.  It’s 40 minutes away so we’re just going to have to make do with these.  Then there are pictures from Heron’s Way Gallery which opens March Madness today, and one picture (the last one) from Room with a Brew Coffee Shop in Leonardtown.  I don’t have any pictures (yet) of the Calvert Artist’s Guild’s show at Ann Marie Garden today.  I hope to remember to take my camera – with its memory card (I always forget) – and take some pictures there today.

thought for the day:  Lovers tell secrets and share dreams.  Lovers meet no matter how adverse the circumstances, sneaking of for a rendezvous.  As we woo our [inner] artist with our focused attention and private time, it will reward us with art.  Julia Cameron, Walking in This World

  • Beautiful jewelry, Tammy. Though it's been awhile since I last 'gallery sat' – I've always tried to take something with me to work on – helps pass the time in between visitors, and sometimes even piques their interest enough to buy…
Thanks for the eye candy today!
Love Ascender's site and work, too.

  • Look at all of your talent! Many non-artists do not realize how much creativity and "shlepping" go into setting up (and taking down) shows and displays. Glad it's a busy season for you.

I already visited Ascender's site long before now. It's as you say, definitely worth a regular visit.

  • I took a great interest in your display work; doing that is an art in itself!

    thanks for the mention.

i like the way you share thoughts out of books at the end of your posts; I don't think I mentioned that before….
