Here’s a gift I can share here because giftee isn’t a big on-line person and never reads my blogs.

I made the slumped glass focal and it hangs from a small piece of copper that I glued to the back.  I’ve found this an excellent way to get around having to drill holes in slumped glass pieces.  Either that or using them in bead working, but that takes a looonnnngggg time to finish.  The earrings have two diamond drilled Swarovski elements that catch the light and reflect what’s around them.  They are really lovely and look nice here.  So, “Shhhhhh!” don’t tell her and she’ll never think to look!

My plan was to work on Beautiful Swimmer and show you the progress yesterday, but, alas, you know what planning does:  it makes the gods laugh.

I gave myself yesterday to mourn her demise.  Today I will sift through and see if I can pull a treasure out of the chaos – she what she really wanted to be (apparently I didn’t get it quite right).  And then I’ll have at another attempt for crab and torso.  I have time.  Lucky I didn’t run myself up against the clock with the creation – best time of year because I have so little going on and can (not plan) focus my time in certain directions!

Hope you’re having a lovely holiday weekend!
