Shadow Wymyn:  Dream Weaver, Mystery Keeper, Change Singer, mixed media wall sculpture by Tammy Vitale

Introducing the next 3 Shadow Wymyn.  They are so new to me that I hope I have their names in order.  Each one gets a wire word:  Dream Weaver: dream; Mystery Keeper create; Change Singer: believe (and love but that’s a heart not wire).

These ladies are fun to make.  You can see the process here, in my post for Create a Connections Sunday Challenge in February.

Here’s a beautiful site to visit: Spirit Within shared by Shan at Simple Beauty of Everyday (formerly Thick Paint).  Shan has a lot of her art up today – she’s also preparing for a show.  Check out her blog.  I think you’ll like it!

Am off for a full day at ArtOMatic:  load in, paint, work a 5 hour shift, hang.  At the end of the day, my intent is to have a wonderful display for this month-long art orgy (and that really is what it is.  If you love art, there’s every kind imaginable.  If you live in the DC metro area, be sure to check it out.  Opening Friday, April 13 – appropriate.

thought for the day:  Finding a work to which we can dedicate ourselves always calls for some kind of courage…because the intrinsic worth of work lies in the fact that it connects us to larger, fiercer worlds where we are forced to remember first priorities…the frontier encounter, the cliff edge.  This cliff edge is a frontier where passion, belonging, and need call for our presence, our powers, and our absolute commitment.  David Whyte, Crossing the Unknown Sea:  Work as a Pilgrimage of Identity
