Wylde Woman: We are all connected, 9" wall sculpture, one of a kind, hand made by Tammy Vitale, $46
This will be short. Have two new shops to hang today, an eye appointment and at least 2 hours in the studio with hopefully another kiln load by Saturday. I have a torso ready to go but need another 1/2 kiln for a full load.
Yesterday I attended EWomen Network at Tysons Corner and may have picked up a shop in Fairfax. I thought they had a group in Annapolis, but closer inspection looks like that one may be defunct. The trip yesterday was 2.5 hours – I have to drive across town to get to Tysons and it was raining (hooray!) and that tends to make everyone on the road – oh, I don’t know – there just are more accidents. Both going and coming. Because I joined yesterday, I get to do a showcase table of my work at next month’s holiday gathering for free! That’s $65 benefit. There’s a one time membership joining fee, a monthly fee and of course lunch (which costs less if you’re a member). Okay – I’m not joining anything else. I’m working on Alyson Stanfield’s art promotion class and One Coach small business (in addition to running my own business day to day), joined Solomons Business Association and the Calvert County Chamber of Commerce and now EWomen. I think I have enough to keep me busy over the coming year! Have NEVER EVER been such the social butterfly.
Next week begins rounds for switching work out for the new month. I’m happy to report I’ve been churning enough out that I will have new work for all the local shops/galleries. And I think I’ve figured out how to fix that torso with the broken shoulder – wait til you see! (probably next week).
Tomorrow I’m going to the 9:30 Club with Husband (where he works) to see The Tragically Hip – one of my favorite bands, and I have a list of things to tag along with me: my ideal client workbook, my 30-60-90 day plan (almost finished!) and my IPOD with all kinds of One Coach lessons on it. That should keep me busy during load in and load out. Of course during the show I’ll rock with the band!
thought for the day: Not all songs are religious, but there is scarcely a task, light or grave, scarcely an event, great or small, but it has its fitting song. [Natalie Curtis] How long has it been since we let ourselves savor the pure joy of listening to music? I am not talking about the songs on the radio that we crowd in as we speed along the freeway. I am talking about the sheer joy of bathing ourselves in the music we like the most.
Likewise, how long has it been since we have let ourselves hear the song of the task we are doing? When we do too much, we lose our joy in he doing and see only the labor and the deadlines. Even when we do not see the song in our work, it is still there. We have but to listen. Anne Wilson Schaef, Meditations for Women Who Do Too Much

Hi Tammy, This wyld women rocks me! Run run run, you will succeed, take care
Andrea.
Tammy I just read your interview that Charlotte did about you ~she used an excerpt for todays dialog day (http://www.bealivebelievebeyou.com/create/2007/10/the-creative-pr.html )
I really enjoyed learning about your Creative Process and how much you put into your art…
You really are a working artist. Thank you so much for sharing yourself in the interview and here. You are a great resource for beginner working artists (like me!) and an inspiration!
XO,
Melba
You're rocking! Cool new piece and the "web" even fits in with Halloween, besides philosophically all year. I like your words combined on this art as well as her awesome rainbow hair!
It's been too long since I've been to the 9:30 club. Know you'll have a blast!
