Rainbows and Teddybears….and Snakes – oh my!

Butterfly series by Tammy Vitale

In a recent discussion with participants (notice I do NOT say “contestants”) in the Prosperity’s Kitchen on-going collaborative game of marketing, I was informed that life is not all rainbows and Teddybears.

I am so delighted with the phrase, and it has so resonated with me, that I find it beginning to take on a life of it’s own, throwing a spotlight on my pathway and next steps.

THEN I read that this is the year of the Water Snake on the Chinese astrological calendar (the snake always being the symbol of the goddess and sheding the old to a glistening new skin) AND I hear that the Pope is resigning.  Resigning!  I was raised Catholic – maybe the Pope resigned 700 years ago, but since then he has been given the power to speak for God (ex cathedra).  Now he is resigning with two weeks’ notice – the papacy is just a job like any other – one you can resign from!  Well, turn my understanding of the world all upside down! AND we are still in the influence of the New Moon!

Back to the Water Snake. according to Jennings WireThe WATER SNAKE of 2013 paves the path for re-birth, new beginnings and transformation as she sheds her skin. Water is the womb of life and seeds being planted for the future.

Which brings me back to Rainbows and Teddybears:  we are moving into new times and a new paradigm – some would call it the Age of Aquarius.  The idea that we create our world by the stories we consciously tell ourselves and what we consciously choose to believe is no longer as fringy as it was in the 1960s.  The energy and vision of millions of Boomers – many of whom relented to cultural pressures and put on the suit and tie of conformity – has traveled forward and become accepted in growing circles.  And others are still claiming that life is not all Rainbows and Teddybears (which I also just discovered is the actual name of a music group).

Well.

It’s all in how you see things.

Literally.

We cannot control the world but we can control our choices about how we react.

Personally, believing in Rainbows and Teddybears works.  Very well.  Because certainly believing in business plans and following linear thinking did not allow for the depression of 2008 and all it wrought.  All my nice linear business plans (yes, an artist can be linear if required) took a totally unexpected nose dive that year.  I might as well have believed in Rainbows and Teddybears because it would have saved me 6 months in the deep darks about pouting over things over which I have no control!  I might have even sat back in my chair and said:  wow – look at that:  rainbows and teddybears!  What an adventure!

Like Brian Andreus writes:  If you hold on to the handle, she said,  it’s easier to maintain the illusion of control.  but it’s more fun if you just let the wind carry you.

This year I am traveling with the wind.  And I am making note of where and how that carries me.  And my business plan is about Rainbows and Teddybears in that I believe a new paradigm has arrived, one where intuitive knowing, embodyment of numbers as opposed to cold columns, trust in an invisible process  as opposed to fear of the invisible process of the current business paradigm (which also changes by which way the wind is blowing, by the way) and joy in following my passion will carry just as far as any business plan that is prioritized, and laid out on any calendar.  The Sacred (vs the “scared”) Quest.

Instead of checking the calendar to see what my todo list is, I do morning meditation and feel into the next best right step.  It’s all in asking the right question (because the question already forms the answer).  What answer are you looking for?  Me?  The correct answer is:

Rainbows and Teddybears.

Care to join me?  I’m looking for 2 – 4 women, 45 – 65 ish who have been in business long enough to understand how it functions but2d life is one surprise tammyvitale.com who feel themselves in transition, who want to explore heart-based processes, and be accountable for exploring that, with like minded hearts.

We will meet Tuesday evening, 8 – 9pm Maryland USA time, via Skype for about 3 months (starting when I have at least 2 more folks to join in) and go for about 3 months and then check in and see where we are with it all.  There is no cost for this and my function will be as a member of the group, not as a facilitator.  We will brainstorm, encourage each other’s hearts, provide cheerleading when necessary and who knows what else.

If you’re interested, email:  info@TammyVitale.com or leave a comment here and I’ll get back with you.

Here’s to adventure and the charting of new paths (and just possibly changing the world!)
