Nice article in the Southern Maryland Weekend of the Washington Post today on my show opening at Heron's Way Gallery (Friday, 9/5) by Dickson Mercer. He also gave a nice plug to the collaborative work Heather Bartlett and I are doing with Body Politics. (if you click on the picture, you can actually read the article).
The photo is from the postcard Heron's Way had made for their mailer – it's one of the nicest of my work that I've seen, so I was delighted to see it reproduced in print. Mercer did a great job of covering my very eclectic show – but then Rose Beitzel, who along with Mary Ida Rolape owns the Gallery did an amazing job of taking all that diversity and hanging it in a very pleasing manner (which you can see in my post here). Kudos to Mercer for appreciating that artists can follow a theme through many mediums and to Heron's Way Gallery for not trying to make me keep my art in a tidy box.
It takes a community to put on a good show! Many thanks to all who worked so hard to make me look really good!

Andrea made some of the points I wanted to write, and I'll just add that it is a great pleasure to watch your art unfold before our eyes!
Hi Tammy, great article, which gives us another perspective, and insight on your art! I'm sure it will make people come and see what you do and what the sense of it all is.
