I need a reason to show up on my blog anymore.  I remember the days of writing daily and they were good and yet I can’t seem to hit the rhythm.  So any encouragement from the outside to my A Student (here, do this for x days), is a good thing.

Currently that would be that I’ve signed up for NAPOWRIMO.  I’ve never done one of these writing challenges before but have done Art Every Day Month (AEDM in the side list) for years now and love it.  I can almost manage anything for 30 days, some days better than others.

This is really good for me since I’m currently enrolled and loving working through “The Difficult Imagination” with Writer’s Village University.  What a great cohort of folks to write with you find there.  This particular course (42 weeks?  45 weeks?) is studying innovative writing and I feel like I’ve come home much the way I felt like I’d come home the first time I put my hands in clay which led to a 20 year love affair with that.

I’m looking forward to reading others’ work and getting to know  some folks like I have through AEDM – where every year gets more and more like a class reunion of people who don’t talk to each other except during that.  It’s definitely a touchstone for me.
