Untitled acrylic on canvass by Tammy Vitale
Okay gang, very short post today. Am in the throes of figuring out the "muvee" application, thanks to Leah who wrote about it for Create a Connection (CaC).
So the fact that I’m not posting more is her fault… I LOVE you Leah. Who knew you could make videos on your own computer (well, I guess a lot of people but surely not something I thought about until Leah did it – leading the way once again, as she did for the renaissance of my painting again through Art Everyday Month in November).
I’ve got the main idea down, but can’t get the button that let’s me pick and choose which pictures to keep/delete to match the music time to work. At the moment I have it pretty much where I want it and must go complain to the technical folks I just paid $39.95 to for downloading the enhanced version since my version wouldn’t take more than 50 pictures only to find out the silly program deletes pictures and repeats beginning pictures. So. That took up all of yesterday except for the time Husband and I were finishing up the tile floor at the cottage. Not quite yet – one more section of the hand-made floor tiles and then it’s done (they take a lot of grout – the manufactured tiles are a snap). It looks great. Photo then and not until. I expect sometime this week. Yesterday was a really wonderful day all in all…now if I could just make this button work…..
thought for the day: The sacred and the sensual/sexual live very near one another in the psyche, for they all are brought to attention through a sense of wonder, not from intellectualizing but through experiencing something through the physical pathways of the body, something that for the moment or forever, whether it is a kiss, a vision, a belly laugh, or whatever, changes us, shakes us out, takes us to a pinnacle, smooths out our lines, gives us a dance step, a whistle, a true burst of life…Laughter is a hidden side of women’s sexuality; it is physical, elemental, passionate, vitalizing, and therefore arousing….It is sacred because it is so healing. I'm doing the photo thing too… so hard!!! *sigh*
Will watch your video later, when I'm unsupervised at my lovely DSL-equipped workspace.
Wow! I love, Love, LOVE the movie you made! It felt so peaceful and inspiring to just watch the art, the earth and sky moving by (Love the Lorena McKinnet soundtrack, too – perfect match).
I haven't seen Leah's yet, must go watch that one now.
Thank you!
p.s. Looking forward to seeing the completed tile floor.
