Great Advice! from Alison Stanfield’s Book Tour

Torso_orion Orion, one of a kind, hand and slab built ceramic wall sculpture, 24"t x 19"w x 5"d, with removeable/wearable necklace of focal bead and strung tiger abalone, by Tammy Vitale.  $1200.00

Off to load in to ArtOMatic today, my car packed to the hilt with everything but one table (using a bucket instead with a cover) and 3 torsos that I couldn’t get in no matter what.

Wasn’t planning on posting today, but yesterday I was reading the latest tour stop on Alyson Stanfield’s book blog tour (she’s stopping through here on May 23 to answer one burning question – and I have so many!) at My Organized Biz by Jennifer Hofmann on following up with contacts, and so impressed with that discussion that I left my own question.  Which Jennifer proceeded to answer in her next blog!  And it’s sooooo good…you must go read.  right now.

and let that blog be your thought for the day.

  • Hi Tammy!

Thanks for the link – and for the awesome question! I just got so jazzed thinking about how we bash ourselves over the head unknowingly, unintentionally with these assumptions. Okay well, *that* didn't get me jazzed, but the thought that we can become aware of these "stories" and start to question them, *that's* exciting. It's so freeing. Anything's possible!

I loved your follow-up question about how to how to remember what we already know. Some people find it helpful to journal – or blog – or talk it out with people who genuinely care. Eventually, I've started to say to myself in my wise observer voice, "Ahhh, there it is again, grasshoppah." You go from unconsciously knowing something, to consciously knowing it (and acting on it) and then back to unconscious but proficient. It's an amazing dance.

The best advice? Be gentle with yourself. You have a whole lifetime to figure it all out. (And possibly longer.) 🙂

Keep asking questions – you're giving me great ideas for my blog and my work at InspiredHomeOffice.

    With sincere gratitude,
    – Jennifer

Enjoy Artomatic — how much fun to be displaying again. I too enjoyed Jennifer's response to your question. Just as the moon has phases — I think we do too. Knowing your cycle is a big step up to not knowing and then fighting what is true.

  • good luck at artomatic, tammy!! and thanks for the link. i really enjoyed jennifer's response to your question.

  • Hi, Tammy. I'm back from my vacation and dropped by to see how you are doing. I enjoyed the link to Jennifer's blog.

I am in awe of what you are doing with your pond area! Looks like a lot of hard work but you will love it when you are done.

    Good luck at ArtOMatic.
