Prosperity’s Kitchen Submission. Tammy VitaleDoing double duty today.
I made it to the 2nd tier of a marketing contest hosted by Prosperity’s Kitchen and had to do an on-camera video talking about my business. And I need something for Day 4 of Art Every Day Month.
I have no problem making videos behind the camera. But put me on camera and I am not in my comfort zone. And so this is not only a practice in imperfection, it is also a dive into the deep end of discomfort.
And doing it all. By myself. Which is to say figuring out the technical stuff.
Which is to say I way over my head. Thank goodness I can trust the fact that I’m a good swimmer literally and metaphorically!
I have posted the video to YouTube as well as over at Prosperity’s Kitchen web site and FaceBook page, and now here.
Nothing like facing your discomfort to get used to it! Again. And again. And again. So I’m putting it where I’ll run into it and the world will see it and maybe I’ll get used to it. Because I started this whole on-camera thing last year and only managed two videos (that would be 2011). This is my first this year. 2013 is coming and it’s time I push myself a bit – if I don’t how can I mentor others to do so?
So here I am, stepping into my Hell YES! life on camera.
No turning back!

Rita – thanks so much for visiting from your sick bed – hope you are better quickly!
I absolutely hate being in front of a camera, myself, so I applaud you! Having something important to say is a great motivator. Congrats! 🙂
Meg – thank you so much! And JM – you’re easy.
much love to both of you whose support always lifts me up. here’s to meeting face to face some day!
AWESOME!!!
So well done, Tammy! Strong and beautiful and *so so* clear! Love seeing you shining your light! M x o <3
Great message!
Tracey and Tracy: thank you! And thanks for stopping by and saying that! It is definitely the encouragement I need to keep going with this (let’s face it, we all need some hand holding when we’re doing new stuff – I LOVE my on-line community for that!).
Ginger: Well, your comment certainly was what I was going after. Maybe I can’t see it yet. More because of my insides than what is actually happening. Isn’t that always the way? Act as if until you get there! and put yourself in situations where you have to practice (hence my
entering this contest).
You ROCKED the SOCKS!! Awesomesauceness at it’s best Tammy!!! I love the “Hell YES life.” 🙂
That was so freakin awesome… you are exactly like I thought you would be…. I loved loved loved seeing that…. love the hell yes thing… you rock Tammy …xx
Oh my! You give me goosebumps. Your message is clear and strong and direct. You make me want to come learn from you…to have those things in my own life. I agree with you that one size doesn’t fit all, and I’ve also wasted my time when others’ wounds don’t match my own. So well said. I hope you get what you’re after with this video…I hope it brings your business what you need. (And I wish I had a little bit of your certainty!)
apparently not – but you get the idea!
can I make a heart here? <3
Fab! Brilliant! Beautiful! Such a pleasure to see your face moving and to hear your voice 🙂
