Life is happening.  You know, you have one of those blissful, everything is beautiful days and feel like you’re finally getting into the swing of this thing called "living your life" and then life comes along to let you know, hey, kid, you’re just in kindegarten.  Don’t let it go to your head.  So life has come along and I’m up against time right now (as you will not I did not post yesterday and probably won’t tomorrow, but maybe tonight if I have time for tomorrow).

Lucky for me, Shan of Thick Paint posted (July 19) a very interesting talk on kids, art and who gets to make it, and referred in her blog to Ed Winkleman’s blog (also July 19) which I clicked over to and wound up reading about 5 posts before the time thing reared it’s head.

So I’m leaving you to click over and read both these blogs about art and life and culture and, on Ed’s, which Picasso would you pick for the Vatican (since they seem to be thinking about acquiring some secular art….which, if I had time, could most assuredly lead me off into just why the Church is investing in art when there seem to be so many other things needed in this world the money could go for…mission and all that…but I don’t have time.  On the other hand, maybe using their money this way will keep them out of interfering in the laws of the land.  Fat Chance.  See – there I go, off on a riff and I really must stop now.  Must be my week for rants).

Sorry – rooms in an uproar from windows being put in…can’t pull any quotes for the day.  Things should settle down by this weekend.
