I actually have space to create today but apparently my Muse is not interested in anything that will take time or planning. She (my Inner Child – who holds ALL the creativity) has her mind and heart set on things that move quickly – I do believe she is as interested in finding out what comes next when doing things quickly as anyone. What bubbles to the surface and asks for expression.
Okay. I can do that.
A little bit of Rumi, A little bit of Danielle LaPorte, a meme from Facebook.
I started with the Crone quote on the upper left because it says: “The time of the Crone is one of many transformations. Some of the best lessons we learn include wisdom and reflection, and of course the importance of letting go of the things we no longer need.” Danielle’s take: “fierce but flexible” followed by Rumi’s admonition: “Unfold your own myth.”
All worked well in moving me along the path of transformation I recently wrote about here and here.
So today I worked in the AEDM book (the one I have been creating for almost 9 years now). I thought to do a double page spread and then decided to clip the 2nd page because (this being a sewing book) there’s a really nice picture of curtains that looks sort of abstracted on the following page (if I clip two pages), so she and I went for that.
I browsed my Pinterest Boards for inspiration because what is Pinterest if not a candy store of inspiration for artists! Since She, my Inner Child the Muse, seems bent on doing collage type work, I have decided once I’m done here I will peruse my art journal boards (I have two pinterest pages, here and here) and see what grabs my interest for later.
Tomorrow will of necessity be quick, so I am planning earrings.

Your muse was apparently present, regardless of what you said. It is obvious to me that she is never far from reach. All your work is “muse blessed”.
Thanks, Gals!
I really like your inner child! She’s quite brilliant for a kid! 🙂 And does beautiful work. xo
WOW, this is collage at its finest. Really great to know how your mind and muse work. I hope she’s satisfied with today’s entry, because I certainly like it.
