Art Every Day month 2018 (AEDM)
The featured image is a lead-free pewter casting I also learned to make with Tricia (read more about her classes in yesterday’s post), just for something different. I made it into a necklace.
For today’s offering, I remade the earrings from yesterday. I think my friend doesn’t wear her earrings quite as long as I do, so I removed the longest “flower” and made a crystal replacement. Then I made 2 other earrings for her: one a teardrop of glass with teal and bits of magenta and a 3rd pair with quartz beads.
NaNoWriMo 2018
In preparation for skipping doing much of anything but eating and being with family tomorrow, I aimed at 3k words, and, yay me!, I made and past that mark by a bit.
Total words: 43,184 Today’s word: 3,180
The story has started telling itself again, after limping along a few days of not exactly having a clue where the characters were taking me. I gained 1K words today just reading back through the whole piece, which I haven’t done before, and mostly adding to, but subtracting from, what was there for clarity’s purpose. The point of the first draft is to get the story down. The crafting of sentences and character voices comes later, although the Red Dragon of Glass and Fog seems to have a pretty developed voice. 🙂

It seems like all I do is play catch up this month. Those earrings are beautiful. You make lovely jewelry.
Isn’t it ironic how we tell a story and the characters decide on their own what direction the tale takes. I’ve had it happen to me before, too. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving, Tammy.
Gorgeous jewellery, Tammy. Love those crystal drops… so pretty. The mould is amazing!
It’s intriguing to see what you do. Thanks for sharing.
