I showed you the beginning of my new earrings, fine silver, fused, from my class at The Bead Boutique in Prince Frederick last Thursday on AEDM 7. With any amount of luck I may even get a better picture of them to replace the one currently up. I have taken a dozen and can’t seem to capture them as they were. But it doesn’t really matter, because you see them here in their next incarnation anyways: asymmetrically made dangles. The final with be Nov 18 when I learn to make the shepherd’s hook earwires by hand. I’m so excited!
I’m also going to try making fine silver wire holders for these glass pieces to make them into simple focals – on a satin string. Maybe I will have to start selling again because I surely won’t be wearing all of these! And I have a bucket of scraps for as many more as I care to make. Later this evening I may start just to see what I can get – but that requires baby sitting my small kiln as it doesn’t have a timer and it’s a bit chilly in the garage studio. I guess I could take one of the 8 books I’m currently reading down to keep me company and make time move along more quickly.
