If I were feeling energetic, I would most certainly riff on the meanings of vanity.  But I’m not, so I’ll just share where I am in the process of upcycling my Mom’s old vanity into my granddaughter’s vanity.  Haven’t decided yet whether I want to edge it with something else or put it together with grout lines.  I’m tending toward no grout lines – grout gets dirty.  In the end, the little containers will be glued down.  Space at the back is for the mirror.  You can see other pieces of how this is coming together in yesterday’s post.

Here’s the stool that goes with this creation.  This particular stool actually goes with my own vanity, which is currently serving as a work table in my office and needs no stool.  I cannot find the stool that goes with Momma’s vanity.  I have no idea where I have stashed it!
