This year I am trying a first – and loving it.
I bought myself an art journal and *everything* is going into that journal AEDM2017 is all in one place and the cumulative effect is mesmerizing to me (I’m pretty much the only one interested in it around my house, and in the end isn’t AEDM just that? For our personal creative space?)
My creative space today is retrofitting days 6 – 11 into the book, to discover I haven’t necessarily left space. But I managed. I just had to crowd some in. And that makes it even more personal – finding a way to creatively include the blogs so they are in order (which, until this morning, I hadn’t paid much attention to) and accessible to anyone (that would be me) wanting to reread them without taking to the computer.
Which reminds me: I used to be able to feed anything into google and get back the post I was looking for. Now I can’t do that and it is very annoying. Anyone else having that problem? Or know how to get around it? Any advice appreciated!
The rest of the day I will be creatively cleaning out the shed at my former home. We have put this off because Hubby was on crutches and then again last weekend so we could go play instead of adulting. Ala, sooner or later one must adult, and given the busyness of the coming week today is that day.
Postnote: Shed clean. FINALLY. Talk about a psychic lift!
One final creative note: I collected pine cones from the fir trees that came with my house, put cinnamon leaf oil on them, put them in a thing with a candle (votive) in the bottom and a cup that fits on top and it is smelling up the house wonderfully. Better than chemical smell goods at the grocery store.

Elizabeth – that is truly organized – I did something like that with a calender the year my daughter was born – I had great intentions, I never followed through, tho I do have one page of that calendar in this journal, in the front – it’s a unicorn and the little story is that unicorns believe that butterflies turn into rainbows so they follow butterflies around waiting for the transformation. I love that!
I don’t have a crock pot. Perhaps I should get one! We don’t eat meat so don’t have anything to cook that need to simmer all day long.
I’m loving your journaling pages. I keep a calendar with one square inch of space to write the day’s thoughts. I really LIKE what you are doing.
You certainly got a lot of adulting completed today.
I put apple cider (or apple juice) in a crock pot with lots of spices. I turn it on low and the entire house smells wonderful all day long.
Well, there’s an idea – I could go back in my blog and pull down my aedm blogs – I have lots! That would be a fun romp through the years (and a LOT of ink!). thanks for the idea!
I’ve taken your lead in my own way. I’ve created a folder on my laptop with all my AEDM2017 postings and will organize and print it in December. I think I’ll do this yearly and keep journals that way.
You are always so inspiring!
