I Feel

There are Fundamental experiences
everyone is going t go through – whether
loss or death or loneliness or
grief, for whatever reasons.

Where does authenticity live in cultural society today?

Looking indward, they
survey the destruction left by
well-intentioned acts gone awry
alongside dreams put aside
in the face of pressing prosaic concerns
of daily life.

The world we line in attaches
“names”
to everything and defines
concepts and rules.

TURN THE PAGE.

Mortality is connected to that moment when
somebody pulls the rug from under your feet
and there’s a very beautiful thing.

Memories, images, places and time, this
strange place where we are never
fully present in a strange sense, or
our presence is distributed.

The bridge, haunted for so many years,
anb out-of-sight body part: “Out Demon out!”

Grow in the dark.

Today’s page also serves as a backup to yesterdays offering since yesterday’s offering has a shortened edge.

  • Rita – I could crayone her in – that doesn’t bleed. 🙂

  • Nice! I actually like the bleed-through, too. Maybe you could paint in the other lady on the other side. But then she might bleed through. No–probably not. Sorry–thinking out loud–LOL! 😉

  • Buebeard and Elizabeth – great to see you as always this time of year! I didn’t plan it. I actually gessoed some pages in the journal ahead of time to have that not happen but I forget the paper in this journal lets magic marker bleed through. Happy accident. Often the best, right?!

  • Thanks, Fiona – I realize I need to take a sharper picture of that painting.

  • I really like how the figure bled through. It looks like you actually planned it that way and makes a fabulous backdrop.

  • I love the image of the woman embracing the wolf… powerful in what the image is but the wolf itself is astounding! He leaps off the page… er… screen?
