The great thing about working a part-time job is that I find myself very focused on my time off.
And I have money for classes.
Today I went to work at a friend’s house. She has all the accoutrements for working in glass, set up and ready to go. She is in production mode for upcoming shows. I have given her my ring saw to use, which expanded her possibilities. I get to hangout and learn what she’s doing, as well as work on my own piece. Which is what you see here.
This is going to eventually be a bowl: one fuse fire and a slump away from finished.
My intent was to take a picture before I put the clear glass on top but I forgot (l00ks like sugar doesn’t it?). So it will simply have to remain a mystery until a share the finished piece. It will be my first functional glass piece. I am excited!
