Creation, 16 x 20 water color on paper, by Tammy Vitale $197

The world moves quickly these days, and there’s a lot of stuff going on out there.  So much that one is hard pressed to find the good stuff, never mind savor it.

I trust other bloggers and FBers to digest a lot of it and feed it back to me.  And they do.

So I’m playing it forward.

Here are some of the best things I’ve run across in the past month or so right here in one place for you to enjoy…do click through here and in the posts themselves.  This is great stuff!

Seth Godin:  Turning the Tables on Critical Trolls (so good I had to print it out and put it where I can see it regularly!)

Naomi Dunford:  Things That Blew My Damn Mind This Week  Love her links.  Love her writing (cussing and all).  Love her wit.  Sometimes wish I could be her (except she still has a small child in the house and I much prefer grandchildren)(not that I don’t love my kids – I do – passionately.  But Mommy was never my favorite role)(although both my now grown beloved kits were planned).

Sonia Friedrich:  Should = guilt.  GREAT article!  Watch your inner chat and be careful of what you let others lay on you.  If you don’t read anything else here (but please do), read this.

Pam Slim:  (she of Escape from Cubicle Nation – a yes you can on the brave leap from corporate world to self employment. another good book on charting your own course is This Time I Dance!: Trusting the Journey of Creating the Work You Love, How One Harvard Lawyer Left It All to Have It All!
by Tama Kieves – one of my top 3 desert island books, along with Brooke Castillo’s Self Coaching 101
and Clarissa Pinkola-Estes Women Who Run with the Wolves) Go ahead, make my smoothie (whose rules are you following anyways?!)

What have you been reading laterly (blogs, books, quotes – whatever)?  Share here!  Let’s get the word out on the good stuff!

Wylde Women’s Wisdom

It’s all just bullshit.  Until you allow The Moment.  The Moment is not the day you quit your job or sell the car/house or leave the abuser or pay off the debt or start the company or set off for your 100 day trek through the remote villages of Indonesia.  The Moment isn’t a thing you do.   The Moment is not visible to another being in our corporal existence.  The Moment is the decision.  Where now and forever you declare to yourself and Whomever is listening:  Yes. I must have the More.   Elizabeth Potts Weinstein [emphasis mine – from Naomi’s Post above]

Ellie – I am hard pressed to say my favorite (tho the Should=guilt post is right up there!) – but I also printed out Seth’d post because it just made so much sense. Glad you enjoyed!

  • This was a great post, Tammy. I enjoyed following the links, very inspirational.

I think the best one for me right now was the “Should=guilt” post. I am going to do that exercise, I fall into that trap all the time. And I love the suggestion that we transform the word into “could”, so much more empowering.
