You will note that I even found a place to bring my wheel back in. No small feat.  This is about as good as it gets for me.  I simply don't have enough space for everything, especially my torsos (and there are still some that need a bin and place for the bin to go).  A lot went out into the shed: concrete backer board, my handtruck, pedestals.  Mostly, though, now everything has a place so when it isn't in it's place I know right where to put it without thinking.  BIG improvement.  I'm awaiting my glass rods. (of course the full length picture of the garage seems not to be opening – just click on it if that situation persists and see my clean garage studio)

thought for the day:  Prayer is never wasted.  It always brings transformation.  When you really want something and you do not receive it, you tend to believe that your prayer was not answered.  Such prayer has a powerful intentionality; and it is true that at times your prayer is not answered in this direct way.  You do not receive what you long for.  Unknown to you, that prayer has secretly worked on another aspect of the situation and effected a transfiguration which may become visible only at a later stage.  Unknown to you, prayer is always at the service of destiny.  Your days and ways are never simply as they appear on the surace.  Human vision is always limited and selective and you never see the whole picture…Prayer refines you, so that you may become worthy of your possibility and destiny.  The irony of being here is that sometimes it is precisely what you want to avoid that brings you further towards creativity and compassion.  John O'Donohue, Eternal Echoes:  Celtic Reflections on Our Yearning to Belong

  • Wow! Would I ever love to be in there with you someday and watch you work your magic. Before Christmas, I went through my studio and made a place for everything, too-it's no small thing to do and yours is huge so you I know you really dug in and went at it. Good way to start the year.

  • I love the studio, it must be wonderful to feel so organized and on top of things. with all the different directions your art goes, I'm sure there is a need for organization to keep it all straight. Hope it stays so.

  • Hi Tammy, it looks as if you (and your studio) are ready for takeoff = great things:)
I know that you MUST feel soooo good right now, I love it when the things are where they are supposed to be, and I wish I had your space:), on the other hand, I don't know if anything is ever enough..
Love your thought for the day, it helps me re-centering on the essentials,
    have a wonderful day,
Here in Paris it is soooooo cold, the coldest since I came here in 2001, wow, today I walked ON SNOW in the sun here, isn't that amazing?:)
    love

  • What a nice studio. You can surely put your creative, artistic talents to good use there. I am happy for you.

I really like the thoughts on prayer that you posted. I try to remember those things. It has been very hard for us that my sweet daughter and her husband have not been able to have children and their adoption fell through and they did not get the baby they were counting on. We prayed so hard that it would all work out and it didn't. However we all need to realize that we can not see the whole picture and have faith that God knows what is best for us. Thanks for the reminder.

    Happy New Year

The studio looks beautiful! You even have the wheel back. When does your glass come in? I know you will have fun with the glass beads, and then it will morph and grow.

    Happy New Year!
