I loved reading your process...wow. Your work is simply amazing...that pregnant torso really captures that hushed *waiting* of being pregnant. Ah, I remember it well.

Such beautiful work!

both of these body sculptures take my breath away. i leaned in close to my computer to screen to take them in. they are so powerful! and, in many ways, they remind me of the sort of oil painting that i would be totally attracted to.

i worked with clay for several years, but am now focusing my art energy in painting. i loved reading about your creative thought process. and it's interesting what you said about getting stuck on an expected outcome. i haven't been visiting your blog nearly enough...but, oh...it feels so good to be here right now!

your work is beautiful. incredibly beautiful. i hope you know that! :)

These are just awesome! You are a very talented artist. I love the finished piece, and it is very interesting and helpful to see how it all progressed and came togther. I definately agree that the piece will tell you its name when it is finished! I love your idea that you are a midwife!!!

Your thought for the day has really touched me. The going has been pretty tough here for a while; illness, a nasty crazymaker to deal with, all sorts. But the bit about ... "they disappear, only to reappear again, renewed and reimagined" has really struck a cord. That's what I am doing I think, as well as linking my wounds.

Thank you so much Tammy. Lizzi

beautiful art, tammy!! i am enjoying these pregnant belly torsos. and i know just what you mean about the process...things go smoothly when i flow with it instead of resisting. it's hard sometimes not knowing where you're going, but other times it feels fabulous. xoxo
