So Gracie arrived.  She doesn’t know about potty outside as best I can tell, but then she doesn’t potty much at all.  She’s very very shy but already getting better and I do think she and Sueno doggie will be fine in the long run – they are already starting to play.

So there is the acclimation period and yet another thing to do on my escalating list.  Do I need to tell you I haven’t been in the studio?  I think that’s been as much the weather as anything and that’s supposed to get hot and the mosquitos are back, so I expect that distraction is done with.

Ah, but distractions are so easy to come by.  I am happy to say that when I awoke in the middle of the night last night (a pattern I’d surely like to break and soon) what I was thinking about was a piece for the oriole’s nest, not the part-time job.  One small step in the right direction!

Gracie is in the kitchen with the gate up and some papers to see if she will get the idea.

thought for the day:  Pugs are not in the American Kennel Club’s Working dog group.  Never have been.  never will be.  There are, however, working Pugs.  whether serving as hearing dogs or therapy dogs, or working as the season’s latest movie star, Pugs are on the job everywhere.  And they’re showing people that Pugs really are multi-talented dogs one task, one lick  or one scene at a time.  Sociable Pugs love to be the center of attention…  Pugs magazine, Volume 23, Popular Dogs series
