*Collaborative Manifestation is the name of a community to which I belong. Mondays through Fridays we women gather to support each others’ hopes and dreams into concrete reality, and share the load of fears and challenges. The name is perfect – together we are manifesting ourselves and our destinies. This group has been a foundational support for my current clarity. It seems you can’t speak every day of what you are manifesting without something happening – sometimes in small baby steps, sometimes not so small. For me, the manifestation is a seemingly endless supply of quiet joy. Community is powerful. So is speaking your story out loud, again and again. It’s the process not the particulars that is important.
Today I’m going to tell you a story. Because I believe that story is full of power and because I believe that writing things out, taking the abstract thoughts and words in your mind and plotting them out coherently enough to share, makes magic happen.
This story is the beginning of the rest of my blog and website: a focus on the gifts I have received over my life and how I am using them to give back to the world and to support myself.
This story starts with where I am, because unless we are writing history or fiction (and those two may often be the same), the only place to start is here, where we find ourselves with something to say.
Last evening, before it got dark (which it now does at a little before 5pm) I walked the dogs out into the Goddess Garden. We used to call this area “the lane” but it has turned into a Sacred Space. I found myself face to face with the Goddess. She is smiling and happy. She has her eyes closed which made me think of meditation and inner peace. She has a spiral symbol on her cheek and copper hair that radiates energy. And I fell into her and realized that what we create when we are in the flow of living our Hell YES!! life is almost always larger (over the long run – the Universe’s time, not human time) than we can ever know. Because she started as an exercise in bigger but I was thinking physically, not lifestyle or spirit energy, or focus. As it turns out bigger was correct, I just had the wrong definition.
Thus, BEing in the flow becomes very important to people and events and worlds that we may never see. We do it because we are responding to an interior imperative that this now is important to pay attention to. In stillness, not in busyness (huh. I just noticed how close busyness and business are in spelling – telling!).
And that’s what I am doing. Aiming at stillness so that grace and intention and purpose can flow me right into my just right Hell YES!! life. A celebration of quiet joy, if you will.
I am moving art over to a place where I don’t have to force its energy to support me any more, to a place where I can create what wants to flow through me rather than what I think might sell at the next show. It gives my art space to breath, it gives me time to attend to the flow – to step into it and open. It is Hell YES! right.
This blog now becomes a story of my experience.
So I’m inviting you along for the adventure. My gift is to share what I have learned to date for those of you a bit behind what I now consider clarity. As a coach and mentor I am recently and well acquainted with what it takes to arrive at the point of knowing. I also have years of experience in making lots of mistakes, and in doing some really right things that left me wondering why they didn’t move me along more on the physical plane. Then I realized that the physical plane is only a piece of it and when one piece is moving, others may feel as if they are remaining still. It turns out, you get less tangles that way.
Wherever you are, that is a thread in your tapestry: keep weaving? bring in another thread? cut it off? pull it out? That’s the stuff I’m good at. That seeing is my gift. It supports me and is service to others who need it.
