Clay Workshop

Saturday, September 9, I had the pleasure of working with nine members of the Calvert Artists’ Guild at a clay workshop teaching tiles and fish.  I haven’t taught a class for a while, and it was fun and gratifying to watch these women work in clay – some for the first time, some just because they like clay and wanted to "play in the mud."

I took along some of my books for ideas on tiles, as well as my own tiles and fish as examples.  You will see by the finished examples below that these ladies caught on fast!

Rather than ramble on and on, I’ll just post pictures.  Enjoy!

That is so great—doing art and teaching some parts of it. You are helping to shape a world of people who can learn to trust their own creativity. All our future surely calls for creativity on all levels!

Hi Tam! Really enjoyed the workshop with you and hope you do more of them. I learned so much from you… thank you for offering this workshop! It was also exciting and motivating sculpting with a group…. I am the one in the purple shirt! Dianne
