		<description>&lt;p&gt;Try an external card reader.  If you don&#039;t have one, you can find them at the local office supply store or online.  They are fairly inexpensive.  A card reader will make your card look like an external storage device, which you can hopefully open up and copy the pics somewhere else.  Then you need to reformat your card.  If the card can&#039;t be reformatted, then it&#039;s probably dead.  Also do a google search for your specific camera model and card - somebody else had probably had the same problem.  Finally, back up your pics - get an external hard drive, use dvds, whatever.  Personally, I use smugmug.com - unlimited space for about $30.00 a year.
