Mostly my “creative” stuff today is grocery shopping (and believe me buying groceries is getting VERY creative these days!) and picking up a downed oak tree at a friend’s house that should be ready for burning before the season is gone.  Also some leaves raking (I didn’t take a before and after of that).  However, in the spirit of creativity, I also cleaned my bead table.  It was full up of making seanettles and there wasn’t a square inch of uncovered flat surface.  Also, what was already there was starting to get covered up with another layer.  Even I, who can work amidst absolute chaos and love it, have limits.  I didn’t photo the floor, which also got cleaned up but not yet vacuumed (I have to go thru the shag with a fine tooth comb so I don’t lose $25 worth of beads in the nap.  Note to self:  replace shag rug for floor in jewelry room.  Not a good choice.  But I didn’t make that choice – it was here when I arrived.)

Hard to believe I now have a full room of bead stuff.  Just 3.5 years ago *everything* bead fit in a closet in my office room!

  • I’ve found I can work in chaos for a bit and then I need to shift the energy with a clean-up.

I have to laugh because it’s not long before I’m in the midst of chaos again!

I look forward to seeing what you create!

tammy, I’m laughing, I started making jewelry 3.5 years ago as well. I started off with this lovely 48″ 16 dresser dresser and some wonderful flip top clear plastic boxes, larger than what I’ve been able to find sine, drawers perfectly organized, each drawer held exactly 30 boxes, each drawer held one color.
NOW I have a 2 panel grid wall with long hooks and over 800 plastic bags of beads hung from the hooks with clips that then hook over othe long hooks, organized, of course, by color, plus I have the 16 drawer cabinet which holds the more basic beads, fillers, etc…an 8 drawer chest, numerous 3 and 4 drawer small chests, several boxes, a cool little rack that holds 12 jewelry trays for projects in the works, a couple 12 drawer plastic cabinets perfect for various wires, 5 accordion folders to hold flat rolls of precious metal and copper and brass wires so I can actually find what I want.

Did you know there is a special bead vacuum? It vacuums everything up into a chamber that you can then just dump out on your table. They
Re only about $10 at Michaels.

I find it amazing how beads and tools can just keep expanding and expanding taking over an entire room.

    I knew we were sisters.

  • It always feels soooo good when things are cleaned and organized. (I’m a bit OCD on that score–LOL!) Enjoy!! :):)

  • finding creativity in every day stuff…love.

  • Please, oh please, will you come and organize my studio for me? You did such a great job with yours! lol nancy

  • My after photo inspires me too: get back in there and make something! Too much clear space!

  • I have a favorite chair I use while crocheting with beads. I lose a lot of stuff in there, and will someday have to take off the bottom of it to find some that have fallen
all the way through. Your after photo inspires me. 🙂
