I just posted the rest of the VARC folks and their presentations with links and photos and was checking through under preview when the new imporved typepad erased everything. Everything. Over an hour's work. I simply cannot do it all again today, especially because I was really happy with the way this all went together and I wasn't even thinking that it would all get erased (which I was thinking yesterday which is why I quit when I did). I am so beyond angry with Typepad and their "improvements." And can you just imagine they have posted how they have taken care of many of the problems they were having.
TYPEPAD: GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!!!!!!

arg! how frustrating!!!! so sorry you had to deal with that.
i hope this advice is helpful and not annoying, but if it saves you another lost post, it might be worth it. when i was having problems with losing posts, i started copying my entire post (from the edit html part, so it saves the image links and such) before i tried to post it. i still do it sometimes when i've spent a long time on a post, just in case it decides to vanish. also saving it as a draft as you go can help (but i'd still copy it just in case while these "improvements" are going on.) GRRRRRR!!! I have a love-hate relationship with computers anyway and when something 'tragic' happens I just lose it!! My normally mild, patient ambience goes out the window (and sometimes I wish the computer was going with it)!! Hope things go better the next time.
