What a timely post. For much of the summer I was finding myself in the “Oh, the economy is so bad, I don’t have as many clients as I want” spot. Along about August I started contemplating what I needed to do about the situation. I even thought about doing some advertising.

My experience with ads is that they cost a lot of money and I don’t get any business from them, so I was really unwilling to commit money to something that hasn’t been helpful in the past. Then I remembered how powerful affirmation has been for me in the past, and I realized that I wasn’t really using that power.

don’t get me wrong, I was enjoying the time in the garden that having less clients enabled me to have, but I really was wanting to see more money coming in too. I immediately formulated an affirmation for my business, and started visualizing my book getting full of appointments again.

Voila! Within weeks my statement “People are calling me who I haven’t heard from in years. People are talking about my work.” was answered. I have heard from numerous people who got massages in the past and are now getting them again. New people are calling, all because my satisfied clients are talking about me.

What a great lesson. So for 2010, the use of affirmations will continue, and hopefully I will have plenty of work and still have time for the garden as well.
